What is Wool Crush?

Wool Crush is a yarn-sorting puzzle developed by Astrasen PTE. LTD. and available on iOS and Android. Each board is a cluster of color-blocks marked with directional arrows, and the goal is to tap matching colors in the right order to unravel a yarn dragon, rescue a trapped animal such as a kitten, dog, or bird, and clear the board before the spool bar at the bottom overflows. Level 1 already introduces the rule that trips up new players most: directional arrow locking means a block can look open while its travel path is still physically blocked, so matching colors alone is not enough.

The board shapes and obstacles change well before the difficulty label does. Of the 305 levels LevelSolve currently covers, 50 are rated easy (levels 1-50), 150 medium (levels 51-200), and 105 hard (levels 201-305). Rectangular and butterfly-shaped boards give way to 3D overlapping hidden layers by Level 10, where the useful arrows stay hidden until the outer shell is peeled away in order. By Level 76 the spool slot bar becomes the real threat, triggering a 'Need to unlock more slots' warning when too many colors sit active at once. Level 229 adds a numbered silver counter block that has to be hit repeatedly to break, plus track ice that only clears when the right color reaches it, and by Level 280 the board shifts to a one-way clockwise loop where colors have to be fed in a specific order or they orbit the loop without pulling free.

• On one-way loop boards, feed colors in the documented outside-in order rather than clearing whatever is closest. Colors sent out of sequence orbit the loop without pulling free and clog the whole board.
